Senator Kristin Roers was born in Lyon County, Minnesota, and grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She earned a BS in Economics from South Dakota State University, a BS in Nursing from South Dakota State University, and an MS in Nursing and Healthcare Systems Administration from the University of Minnesota.
Senator Roers has served in the North Dakota legislature since 2018 and will be seeking her second term. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Interim Employee Benefits Program Committee and is a member on the Interim Health Care, Retirement, and IT Committees.

Fargo, ND (January 18, 2022)- Senator Kristin Roers and Representative Greg Stemen (both Republicans in District 27) set to seek re-election in 2022.
Senator Roers has served in the North Dakota legislature since 2018 and will be seeking her second term. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Interim Employee Benefits Program Committee and is a member on the Interim Health Care, Retirement, and IT Committees.
Representative Stemen was appointed to his legislative seat in 2021 to replace Rep. Tom Beadle who was elected State Treasurer. He currently serves on the Interim Retirement Committee.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve our state and the citizens of District 27 and hope to earn your support in 2022,” said Representative Stemen.
